Saturday in the City (SITC) is every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month. Join us at Prairie Grass Park from 11a-2p for food, fellowship, prayer, and games. The entire community is invited to join us for this free gathering. Hope to see you there!

September 12 – Healing Journey Class begins. Time: 9:30 – 11:30. Contact: Janine King, Phone: 719-602-1783, Email: jmkinglpc@gmail.com. Note: This is a 29 week healing journey class with homework. The first three weeks are open for new members to come, but after that the membership is closed for confidentiality purposes.
 
Colorado District Men’s Retreat September 14-16, 2018
The retreat will be held at Golden Bell Camp and Conference Center. Along with Jay Boykin speaking, Steve Sisson will be speaking as well. Colonel Steve Sisson, USMC (Retired), served his country in combat in Vietnam, and Iraq. He also served as an officer on the Longmont Police Department for 22 years before his recent retirement. Additionally, Steve served as a Pastor in the Church of the Nazarene for 21 years. Register here. $150 each person.
 
September 18 – We are starting a MOPS group! September 18 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. This group is for mothers of preschool aged children (birth to five years old). Come join a community of women who will come alongside you and support you in your journey through motherhood. More details coming soon.

Here are the Jesus And Guns (JAG) Activities and events of interest 2018:
 

September 8 –  Hunter’s Prayer Breakfast.  7-8AM at Panera Bread, 3120 New Center Pt., Colorado Springs, near Powers and South Carefree. We’ll have prayer, a devotional, fellowship, and swap hunting, fishing & outdoor stories.

September 8 – Archery training.  Following the Hunter’s Prayer Breakfast, we’ll meet at the church at 9:00AM for some archery instruction and indoor range time. Archery equipment will be provided. Enter through the Stone Chapel double glass doors on the Southwest side of the building and follow the JAG signs to rooms M1/M2.  We were notified this week, that all archery activities at Farish Recreation Area have been cancelled.  

For those that are interested, Dragon Man will be hosting his annual Machine Gun shoot Saturday and Sunday, September 8 & 9.  Admission to the range is $10, and shooting the guns typically begins at $10 and up, with costs varying, depending on caliber and number of rounds shot.

November 10 – Preparing for Emergencies.  Are you ready for the emergencies and natural disasters that could happen in Colorado?  Severe Weather, Wild Fires, Power Outages, Emergency Evacuations, etc.  Learn what you can do to minimize the impact to you, your family and friends.
