We are having our next meeting in the Learning and Activity Center on the East side of our building. We start with Breakfast at 8am. Invite a friend and we hope to see you there. Weather permitting we will go to Dragonman's after breakfast. If it is too cold we will be going the gun show at the Freedom Expo Center.

Breakfast is by donation

Good evening JAGers. For all you "socialite" members of JAG ministries, we have an "OFFICIAL" JAG Ministries page we opened up on Setember 27, 2011. This is a great way to share our this ministry with our friends and invite to come and check us out.

I believe God is truly blessing and growing this ministry outreach. On the JAG facebook alone, 70% of the 36 who have joined/liked our page are not affiliated with our church, and this number is growing daily. It is exciting to see God moving through our church, this ministry and those who may not normally step into a church. Tell your friends, your family, your co-workers and strangers ... "Get your guns, come as you are and encounter God".

We will be keeping you posted to all JAG activites there, as well as here, and providing a daily devotional from My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers. I enjoy these devotionals each morning and sharing them with others.

Gun Shows

I recieved an email from one of our JAGers about local guns shows and dates. Below is the information.

There's a show at World Arena on October 22 & 23 http://rkshows.com/midwest/colorado.html , and one at Rustic Hills on the 29th & 30th. https://sites.google.com/site/prospectorsgs/

The shows usually charge $5-8 for admission and there are usually $1 off coupons online at the sites above, in the paper, or at local sporting goods stores.

Our next time together will be October 29th at 8am in the LAC (Learning and Activity Center). We have cards that you can give to your friends to invite them. Also, we will have our shirts on sale at the Ministry Counter. $12 for M-XL and $14 for 2XL and up. We do not have them yet but are getting hats soon as well. They will be $20.

Our First Meeting - September 17th @ 8am

We will have our first meeting at 8am on September 17th. It will be in the Learning and Activity Center (LAC - It's on the east side of the building by the conex storage units).

This meeting is open to anyone interested in guns and shooting (Ladies too!). We will have a breakfast together with devotional and a special presentation on a topic pertaining to firearms. After we are done (around 10am) we will go to the range together and have a good time.

There will be t-shirts for sale with our logo (not sure on price yet) and hats with the logo embroidered on them that can be ordered. I will post those prices and designs before our meeting on this blog so you can make the proper financial preparations for our day.

What to bring:

Yourself
A friend (remember this is an outreach)
A gun or two (or three or four - please leave all ammo and magazines in your locked car - if you have a concealed carry license you may have carry it but not for show)
$10 for Dragonmans' range fee following our meeting.
All the stuff you will need for the range.

There will be a sign-up sheet at the ministry counter in the foyer of the MMC. We need to have a rough count for Dragonman's and food so please sign up. You can also use the "Contact Us" link in the sidebar to let us know you are coming. We are looking forward to a great time of fellowship and fun!

Henry 45 Long Colt Lever Action Rifle

I have always enjoyed owning, displaying, and shooting guns. My new Henry rifle is no exception. After praying to God about owning this spectacular rifle, my prayer was answered. Last weekend "Skip" Jungerman and I went to a local gun show, and there it was. A Henry 45 Long Colt, lever action. My heart started to beat funny and tears of joy came next through my excitement. Skip was very instrumental in this purchase. Thank you Skip!

I am excited to get this rifle dialed in and share with others. If you are looking for a 100% American made rifle, I would suggest looking into a Henry Rifle. You will not be dissapointed!

Our New Ministry

After much prayer and seeking God's will, Grayson Edwards and John Farley, have decided to put a gun ministry in place at Springs First. We know that men (and some women) love to "talk guns" together so why not get together at church and then go shooting together.
