Hey, my name is Ed Belzer and I have the privilege of being the youth pastor here at Springs 1st Church of the Nazarene! I have been here for over 15 years now and I love working with the teenage students here at Springs 1st! I love our church, our churches’ families and Colorado Springs.

 

I have 1 wife and 1 daughter. My wife Lori is an elementary teacher and she loves teaching!!!!! Our daughter Robyn attends Point Loma Nazarene University. We adopted Robyn when she was 5 ½ months old, right from Korea. She is awesome!!!! We are very blessed by God to have this opportunity to be her Mom and Dad.

 

I have been in youth ministry now for about 25 years. In those years as a youth pastor I have also had the privilege of being a district NYI camp director, district NYI President, Regional NYI President, Secretary of the USA/Canada NYI Council, and a Global NYI Council Member in the Church of the Nazarene.

 

I love to play golf, watch all kinds of sports, play fantasy baseball, and play basketball. I love to spend time doing things with my family. I also love to sleep!! I am so glad that God gave us the opportunity to have night time; however, I do struggle to get up in the morning……….”early” is not in my vocabulary.

 

In youth ministry I love to get to know students, listen to their stories, journey alongside of them as they go through their teenage years. Having been here at Springs 1st for over 10 years has afforded me the opportunity to see child grow through their teen years and now become young adults. So I also have the privilege of doing many weddings!!!
